3 Ways to Take Action

“We do without doing and everything gets done.” ~ Ralph H. Blum

Taking action can become challenging when it is made complicated by the mind. When thoughts circle endlessly around “right” and “wrong,” “should” and “shouldn’t” and black and white concepts, direction and clarity can become mired in confusion and uncertainty.

Here are a few ways to get the mind unstuck, so that one can get into action.

1. Keep it Simple
Needing to have everything figured out will often impede or thwart action. It also stops the flow of creativity that drives purpose and promotes balance and effortless action. Keeping it simple and letting go of the need to have everything figured out will often reveal the most effective and healthy action step(s) to take.

2. Focus on the Present
Focus on what can be done in the immediate present. Then take the first action step(s) towards what can be done in the immediate present. The action step(s) need not be right, or be done perfect. The action step(s) just need(s) to be done. This will allow the next action step or steps to reveal themselves. Rinse and repeat.

3. Let Go of Excess Weight
Excess weight such as negativity, self-sabotage, and negative rumination causes and contributes to depression. Negative emotions, thoughts and beliefs cause added weight. Anything that creates resistance or adds extra weight to a desired outcome will make taking action much more challenging. Find a way to let go of things that are not serving oneself.

RE-member.
You are a worthy being of light that deserves to experience that light.
Believe.

“It is the quality of your consciousness at this moment that is the main determinant of what future you will experience.”

~ Eckhart Tolle
